The app offers the following key features:

1. QR Code Verification: The app allows users to scan the QR code on an e-invoice and authenticate the embedded value within the code. This ensures the accuracy and authenticity of the e-invoice.

2. User-Friendly Interface: The app provides a user-friendly interface with intuitive navigation, making it easy for users to navigate through the app's features and functionalities.

3. Comprehensive Coverage: The app supports verification of e-invoices reported across all six IRPs, ensuring comprehensive coverage and convenience.

2. How can I download the e-Invoice QR Code Verifier Mobile app? 

This mobile app is available for android version currently. The iOS versions will be live shortly. You can download the mobile app from Play store on Android phones.

3. How can I register myself on the e-Invoice QR Code Verifier Mobile app? 

The app operates on a non-login basis, meaning users are not required to create an account or provide login credentials to access its functionalities. This simplifies the user experience and makes it more convenient for users.

4. How to scan the QR code using the e-Invoice QR Code Verifier Mobile app?

Follow these steps to use the app effectively:

 

1. Download and Install: Search for "E-Invoice QR Code Verification" on the Play Store (for Android) or the App Store (for iOS coming shortly). Download and install the app on your device.

2. Launch the App: Open the app by tapping on its icon on your device's home screen.

3. QR Code Verification: To verify an e-invoice QR code, select the "QR Code Verification" option on the home screen. Align the QR code within the frame on the screen and let the app scan it. The app will authenticate the embedded value and display the verification result.

 

Note: Please give your consent for the device to “Allow e-Invoice_Verifier to take pictures and record video”.

5. Which details will I get after scanning the QR code?

On successful scanning of QR code, the below details will be displayed:

•    Supplier GSTIN 

•    Recipient GSTIN

•    Document Number

•    Document Type

•    Document Date

•    Total Invoice Value

•    No. of Line Items

•    Main HSN

•    IRN

•    IRN Generation Date

•    Issued By 

6.  What types of e-invoices can be verified using the app? 

The app can verify e-invoices that have embedded QR codes signed by IRPs conforming to the e-invoicing standards as per GST Act and rules.

7. What should I do if I suspect an e-invoice to be fraudulent even after successful QR code verification? 

If you have reasons to believe that an e-invoice may be fraudulent or suspicious, it is recommended to check the authenticity of same by using the search IRN functionality hosted at http://einvoice.gst.gov.in 

8. What happens if the QR code on an e-invoice cannot be scanned or is unreadable? 

If the QR code on an e-invoice cannot be scanned or is unreadable, the app will display an error message indicating the issue. In such cases, it is recommended to ensure that the QR code is clear and properly aligned within the scanning frame. If the problem persists, contact the e-invoice issuer or relevant authorities for assistance.

9. What should I do if I encounter an e-invoice that fails the QR code verification? 

If the QR code verification of an e-invoice fails, it indicates that the embedded value within the QR code does not match the expected data or there may be an issue with the e-invoice itself. In such cases, it is advisable to contact the e-invoice issuer or relevant tax authorities to report the issue and seek further clarification or resolution.

10. Can the app be used to verify the authenticity of physical invoices or receipts? 

No, the E-Invoice QR Code Verification app is specifically designed to verify the authenticity of e-invoices that contain signed QR codes. It does not support the verification of physical invoices or receipts that do not have embedded QR codes.

11. Is there a limit to the number of e-invoices I can verify using the app? 

There is no inherent limit to the number of e-invoices you can verify using the app. You can use the app to verify as many e-invoices as needed, provided they have QR codes that can be scanned by the app.

12. Can the E-Invoice QR Code Verification app be used offline? 

Yes, the app can be used offline for QR code verification. It does not require an active internet connection to perform the verification process. However, if you want to access the user guide, update the app, or receive support, an internet connection is required. 

13. Is the app compatible with all smartphones and tablets? 

The app is designed to be compatible with a wide range of smartphones and tablets running on Android and iOS platforms. However, it is recommended to check the system requirements and compatibility information provided on the respective app stores to ensure that your device meets the necessary specifications.
